Your hair looks fabulous

I just cut one bohosexual. No place no car asking me to drive him to his mum place. Always forgeting his card asking me for cash for tacos because he did not have. Eating in one time what me and my son would eat in 3 meals. Disapear when time to pay grocery. Asking to live with me after a month telling me he can give me less of a quarter of the rent. It last 3 months and i ghost him. Dont even want to explain.

It is still the hair growing out of your scalp. Why shouldn't you wash and condition it? For me, give it maybe 6-8 weeks for the locs to settle, then go ahead and wash your hair. Start conditioning maybe 3 months after your hair has locked to prevent unraveling. Locs are very easy. We are just making it unnecessarily complicated.

Thanks for sharing. I have to agree, I had never lose a braid in five years with sisterlocks until one year with knotted locks !!!! I am re examing my retights now. I am also going to start the new and not so new Journey with the bj's braids, coming in the near future. Ladies we have many choices for our hair. Let's find the one that works for us. Having just had my locks installation completed yesterday, I can say that the tool does catch onto and pull the hair. It is very painful. The tapestry needle is a much better option. Much, much better. Also, I asked to see the tool during my consultation and while there wasn’t an out and out refusal to share it, I didn’t actually see it until the install. 🫣 It is an ill shaped crochet hook.

Alopecia is inflammation. So start from the inside. #2 I'm glad that you are warning us about the way we handle our locs. I'm trying to find my "sweet spot". How long in between retightening. Dont want to cause unnecessary inflammation from the outside. 💜

I installed this past March. I’ve been tightening as they slip from shampooing and daily spraying. Oiling my scalp too. I took pics today and my crown has thinned a lot. My hand in hair days are officially over! My scalp is a little tender in places but not from tightening too tight. How long do you think I should wait before tightening them again?

I’ve been using distilled water for hydration, is that’s ok?

As someone thinking about sisterloc and microloc everything I heard is refreshing!! I will apply all her knowledge of getting bigger microloc and going 10-12 weeks in between reties as my hair in thin around the edges and suggest to not tie to close to the scalp.

First of all your hair is gorgeous 🥰 I'm going to try the nappy loc tool and I would love some Melanin loc oil. I have had sisterlocks for about 20 years. I went to the retightening class years ago and for years I would use the clip tool from sisterlocks but it tends to snag on my roots when doing my rotation and that other tool like you I don't know how to use it, so I'm using a tool like the nappy loc tool that I got from Amazon and I like that tool because it doesn't snag the roots of my hair while I'm retightening my hair and that nappy loc tool looks thinner and shorter so I think it's going to be a winner. Also thanks for the tips about not tightening so tight, I do that sometimes. Get back to me about the loc oil Loved this video 🥰

Hello. Could I braid my ends instead of interlocking?

I wish I would have seen this video before I got my hair done. I just did it 2 days ago I paid $1700 and I have 4 inches in some places. Five inches of loose ends that I don't like.

I know this video is 4 years old, but thank you. I’m experiencing so much scalp irritation. It came out of nowhere! My scalp is so itchy & it is turning white. I am allergic to a lot of products like tea tree oil, shea butters (Of course I don’t use on my sislocs), some natural plant sprays, but idk which ones! 😳 I just want my scalp to act right.
